Tamburi Neri are Claudio Brioschi and Andrea Barbieri, an Italian duo with years of experience and a musical maturity that sets them apart from the contemporary electronic scene. Born in 2017, their project sits at the intersection of storytelling and sound design. Andrea's narratives and Claudio's compositions combining into something that moves between DJ set and live performance with complete fluidity.
Their discography spans some of the most respected labels in the European underground: Optimo Music, Mad on the Moon, Les Disques de la Morte, Worst Records and Danza Tribale, the label curated by Adiel. Their EP Urlo earned a remix from Marcel Dettmann, one of the defining figures of contemporary techno, a recognition that speaks to the level at which they operate. Their debut album, released in 2024 on 42 Records, was presented live at Triennale Milano, one of Italy's most prestigious cultural institutions.
They have performed at Decibel Open Air, Ozora Festival, POLIFONIC Festival, Robot Festival and Spoleto Festival, contexts that range from the underground dancefloor to high culture.
