The project of Francesca Pavesi, Idra is a live electronic set rooted in ambient music, organic sound design, and experimental electronics. With a background in classical trumpet and formal musical training, she approaches sound as a language of research, combining discipline and intuition to build immersive sonic worlds.

Her performances are built through modular synthesis, analog textures, field recordings, and acoustic elements, creating evolving soundscapes that feel both intimate and cinematic. Rather than following a fixed structure, each set unfolds as a continuous process of listening and improvisation, shaping environments that invite deep attention and stillness.

Idra’s work moves fluidly between artistic and functional contexts: from live performances in cultural spaces and festivals to site-specific installations and projects focused on well-being and perception. Her practice is also informed by deep listening methodologies and an ongoing exploration of music’s therapeutic potential, including collaborations and research in the field of sound and psycho-physical balance.
